✅ 상세 정리

1️⃣ until 

✔ 지속적인 행동이나 상태가 특정 시점까지 계속됨
✔  어떤 행동이나 상태가 지정된 시점까지 지속됨을 강조
💡  until은 "그때까지 계속 반복"된다는 느낌

🔹 Ex ) 

I'm gonna study until 10 o'clock (10시까지 공부를 지속적이고 반복적으로 함)

I have to finish this until 2 o'clock (2시까지 계속해서 끝내야 함: 끝내는 걸 반복)

Hey, let's wait until 6 o'clock
And if she's not here until then.
We can just leave without her

 

2️⃣ by

✔ 데드라인(마감 시간)의 개념
✔ 특정 시점 이전에 일이 완료됨을 의미
💡  by는 "그때까지 완료"하는 게 중요하고, 더 일찍 끝나는 것도 가능함!

 

🔹 Ex ) 

I have to finish this by 2 o'clock (2시까지 끝내야함 : 더 전에 끝내는것도 가능)
I have to submit this by Wednesday
