✅ 핵심 표현 정리

1️⃣ Must have + p.p.

1. ~했나봐    2. ~했던 모양이야     ★3. ~했겠다

✔  확실한 건 아니지만 하나의 단서를 보고 추정
✔  확신이 있는건 X ( 그냥 추측임 )
✔ 어떤 단서를 보고 나름의 결론을 내리는 느낌

🔹 Ex

You must have been exhausted after that long trip. (그 긴 여행 후에 완전 피곤했겠네.)
She must have forgotten about our meeting. (그녀가 우리 미팅을 잊어버렸나 봐.)

 

2️⃣ Might have + p.p.

1. ~했(었)을 수도 있다     2. ~했던 것이었을 수도 있다

✔ 강한 추정 X, 하나의 가능성
✔ 어떤 가능성을 조심스럽게 제시할 때 사용

🔹 Ex

He might have taken the wrong train. (그가 다른 기차를 탔을 수도 있어.)
I might have left my phone at home. (집에 핸드폰 두고 왔을 수도 있어.)

 

3️⃣ Couldn't have + p.p.

1. ~했을리가 없어

✔ 과거의 일에 대해 강하게 부정할 때 사용
✔ 논리적으로 말이 안 되는 상황에서 사용

 She couldn't have said that! (그녀가 그런 말을 했을 리가 없어!)
He couldn't have finished the project in one day. (그가 하루 만에 그 프로젝트를 끝냈을 리가 없어.)

It's because + <문장>    :  ~해서 그래

🔹 Ex

더워서 그래 → It's because it's hot
피곤해서 그래 → It's because i'm tired

 

Either that / Either way  : 그게 아니면 / 어쨌든 간에

✔ Either that → 처음에 말한 것과 다른 가능성을 제시할 때 사용
✔ Either way → 어떤 경우든 결과가 같거나 큰 차이가 없을 때 사용

🔹 Ex

Maybe he forgot about the meeting. Either that, or he just didn't want to come.
 → 아마 걔가 미팅을 까먹었나 봐. 그게 아니면 그냥 오기 싫었을 수도 있고.

We can take the train or the bus. Either way, it'll take about an hour.
    → 기차를 타든 버스를 타든 한 시간 정도 걸릴 거야.

 

have some problems with someone : ~와 문제를 겪다

🔹 Ex

I've been having some problems with my roommate lately.
    → 나 요즘 룸메이트랑 문제가 좀 있어.

She had some problems with her coworkers, so she decided to quit her job.
    → 그녀는 직장 동료들과 문제가 있어서 회사를 그만두기로 했어.

If you’re having some problems with your manager, you should talk to HR.
    → 상사랑 문제가 있다면, 인사팀에 이야기해 보는 게 좋을 거야.

 

have a problem with someone : ~에 대한 불만이 있다

✔ 상대방의 행동, 태도 등에 대해 불만을 가지고 있을 때 사용

🔹 Ex

Do you have a problem with me?
    → 너 나한테 불만 있어?

He seems to have a problem with the way I work.
    → 그는 내가 일하는 방식에 불만이 있는 것 같아.

I don’t have a problem with him, but I don’t really like the way he talks.
    → 난 걔한테 불만은 없는데, 말하는 방식이 별로야.

She obviously has a problem with me, but I don’t know why.
    → 걔가 나한테 분명히 불만이 있는 것 같은데, 이유를 모르겠어.
